Education in Malaysia

Please tell us something we don't know...

Deja vu. Came across this write out & this write out recently. It reminisces of my passed education experience during my secondary & my horrifying pre-U.

Brain drain is not a new issue. Gov just not gives a damn abt it. Thus, it's natural that those creme de la creme from Malaysia 'reciprocate' it by emigrating to AUS & SG.

A recent news of a MNC pulled the plug to invest in Penang due to CM can't guarantee the number of highly talented engineers is saddening. That proves a point that, the gov screwed up the educational system, big time.

A recent news that a Malaysia's deputy education minister has said that speaking English in the workplace is "weird" and harmful to the culture and identity is absurd. It makes my hair stands to see such short-sighted vision human resource is running the existing education system. A China colleague once told me that, culture & identity is secondary. Cari makan is the priority. True. No?
